Mass Maintenance
In the menu, go to Inventory > Inventory Management > Mass Maintenance. From here, you have the options to Import From Master, Manage Master Inventory, and Manage Local Inventory.
Import From Master
From here, you can select a manufacturer code and search for part numbers or any other criteria that currently belong to your master inventory. The Search Results are displayed below. You can check and uncheck part numbers from here, and when you have selected everything that you want to import, hit the Proceed button.
On this screen, you are able to modify a number of different fields for these selected items. You can add a warehouse message, change the asset account, add the items to an item group and template, and change which column the cost/pricing values will use. Any values you change here will apply to all selected items. Once everything is all set, hit the Import Items button, and the import from master will be complete.
Manage Master Inventory
The Manage Master Inventory screen is very similar to the Import From Master screen you previously used. The only items that will be returned in a search are the items in your Master Inventory. You can make bulk changes and save them in the same manner. They just won’t be imported into your local inventory in the end.
Manage Local Inventory
Just like the Manage Master Inventory option, you can do the exact same things, except you will only see search results for items you already imported into your local inventory.
